Wizkid’s ‘Soco’ Edges Davido’s ‘Assurance’ To Become Most Viewed 2018 Nigerian Music Video – So Far

While Wizkid and Davido have continued to dominate Nigeria’s musical terrain with back to back hits, it is a music video by the former that has now stamped its authority as the most watched on Youtube.

‘Soco’, a single by Starboy team, is currently at the summit of the most watched Nigerian music video on YouTube for the year 2018, edging out Davido’s video for ‘Assurance’ which had maintained the position for most part of the year.

As at press time on Friday, November 23, the music video, which had Wizkid and the whole Starboy team, has amassed a total of 28,950,897 views, while ‘Assurance’, a song Davido dedicated to his girlfriend Chioma Avril Rowland for her 23rd birthday, now has 28,589,475 views.

Afropop singer, Yemi Alade, takes the third spot with 17 million views for ‘Bum Bum’, while Falz and Tekno follow with 15 million each for ‘This Is Nigeria’ and ‘Jogodo’.
